Bayliner Buccaneer 325 Sailboat

During the mid 1970s a number of builders constructed auxiliary sail yachts designed for a ìnewî market. Whereas most previous cruising yachts had been built with the idea that the crew would consist of the owner and guests, the opening of the Carribean charter market brought charter parties of several couples all on a more-or-less equal footing. The center cockpit yachts of the period provided multiple double cabins, and frequently several heads. Generally speaking, these boats are not outstanding performers under sail because high freeboard was used to provide walk-through headroom below decks.
Bayliner built a series of several boats for that market.
The Buccaneer 325 was designed by the office of famous West Coast designer William Garden, rather than by the Bayliner in-house staff.
